Metalheads generally tend to dislike pop music, as it is seen as too commercial, mainstream, and lacking the complexity and intensity that they appreciate in metal. The catchy melodies and simplistic song structures of pop music are often at odds with the aggressive and intricate nature of metal, leading to a disdain for the genre among metal fans. Additionally, the themes and lyrical content of pop music are often perceived as shallow and superficial compared to the darker and more thought-provoking themes found in metal. **
